Exciting Career Opportunities Available March 9, 2015. All positions are open until filled 


All Life Quest positions require a desire to work with individuals with or at risk of 

developmental disabilities, N.M. Driver’s License and clean driving record, fingerprinting and 

background check clearance. 


Direct Support Staff: These positions provide support and assistance to adult 

individuals served by Life Quest; this may include some in-home support and coaching 

and training for individuals in community and supported employment. F/T 37.5 

hrs./wk. @ $8.00 hr. – 21 yrs. of age, 50 lbs. lifting/maneuvering, H.S. Diploma/G.E.D., 

Basic Computer Skills/ability to learn data entry. 

Respite Providers: Short-term, flexible care provided for parents/guardians of 

children, adolescents or adults with developmental disabilities. Care is provided by 

trained employees in the least restrictive environment by implementing and 

monitoring activities that are as normalized as possible while maintaining the person’s 

independence and potential. Respite care can be in-home or out-of-home (provider-

home, Life Quest day care or community based) services. Respite services are 

designed to suit each individual situation which is determined by the family’s needs 

and is intended to provide relief to the family. P/T, as needed @ $7.50 hr. – 50 lbs. 

lifting/maneuvering, H.S. Dip./Equiv., ability to transport clients. 

. Temporary Yard Workers: Performs all tasks required to complete yards and 

landscaping contracts. P/T @$7.50 hourly (two positions) – 50 lbs. lifting/maneuvering 

and ability/experience operating yard maintenance equipment. 


Early Intervention Program


Developmental Specialists: 

o I-A (A.A. Degree) 

o I-B (FIT Waiver eligibility) 

o II (B.A./B.S.), or III (M.A./M.S.) 

The Developmental Specialist works as a member of the Early Intervention Team to 

provide early intervention services designed to meet the developmental needs of each 

eligible child and the needs of the family  related to enhancing the child’s development 

from birth to three years of age in one or more of the following domains: adaptive 

behavior, cognitive, communication, physical/motor and social or emotional. 

Developmental specialist 1-A and 1-B provide center based or home and community 

based early intervention services as defined in the child’s Individual Family Service 

Plan (IFSP) ; Developmental Specialist II or III design and provide additional 

evaluations and assessments for children and families. 


Developmental Specialist positions are available in Deming/Luna and Silver City/Grant 

County - $9.00 - $13.00 hr. Positions require appropriate education in child 

development, special education, social work or related field or 4 years related 

experience/FIT Waiver eligibility.
